On September 1, 2008, I entered the "realm of the retired". After more than twenty years as a Stewardship Specialist for the ELCA, I've decided to slow down a bit. On the other hand, I have no desire to sit on the deck reading all day. For this reason, I have formed Eugene Grimm LLC to be able to assist congregations and judicatories with their stewardship needs.
Please call for fees and to schedule my services at 928-925-6057 or e-mail me at gene@eugenegrimm.com.
Consultations
with Congregations:
Consultations are tailored to the desires and concerns of the
individual congregation.
Basic Stewardship Education
Often, new committees appreciate hearing some stewardship basics. What
are the principles that make for good stewardship? Such meetings can
be open to all leaders in the congregation. The subjects of
stewardship education and ministry interpretation cover a wide range.
Call or E-mail me to further discuss this option.
Capital Campaign Preview
Are you planning a capital campaign in the next couple of years?
Perhaps it would be a good idea to review what makes a good capital
campaign. I do not conduct capital campaigns for congregations, so I
have nothing to sell. I’ll cover issues such as:
- How is a capital campaign conducted?
- Are we ready for a capital campaign?
- Why should we call in professional counsel?
- Why a feasibility study?
Intro to Annual Programs
I’ll gladly discuss any annual stewardship program you might
like to consider. I can also share an overview of all campaign
models that might be appropriate for your congregation. While most
programs are designed to work well in all churches, some are more
appropriate for certain congregations than others.
Council Retreats/Workshops/Seminars
As long as the subject is stewardship (my only portfolio), I’ll
gladly spend a day working with you. This can include a number of
stewardship topics, or it can focus on one, such as Spiritual
Gifts Analysis and The Stewardship of Time.
Leading Your Annual Response Program
Some programs, like Herb Miller’s New Consecration Sunday Stewardship Program, or my Celebrate Generosity Stewardship Program best utilize the help of an outside leader.
I’m available as my schedule permits. Planning in advance helps
assure availability.
Conducting a Feasibility Study for Your Capital Campaign
Are you ready for a capital campaign? Many congregations considering a capital campaign would do well to conduct a feasibility study first. All too often, leaders considering a capital campaign have failed to bring the rest of the congregation up to date. While the leaders feel "good to go" members just aren't there yet. Be certain you have talked about your campaign enough that at least 80% of your members are fully aware of the plans.
Leading Your Capital Campaign
I conduct capital campaigns in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America with our ELCA Key Leader Program.
